Stir Fried Peas and Potatoes Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

potatoes, peeled and cubed

peas, frozen or fresh

oil or clarified butter (ghee)

onion, finely chopped

ginger, finely chopped

garlic cloves

tomatoes, chopped

green chili, chopped

turmeric (haldi) powder


green coriander, chopped

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil, add onions and sauté, stir in ginger, garlic and green chili.
  2. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. Add the tomatoes, cook for 2-3 minutes until tomatoes are soft.
  4. Stir in the turmeric, peas, potatoes and salt.
  5. Cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Add water (1/2 cup) to prevent the mixture from becoming dry.
  7. Stir in coriander, simmer until the vegetables are tender.
  8. Serve at once, accompanied by Chappatis or Poori.
