Starter's Muesli Recipes

Ingredients :

150g oatmeal

1 tbsp brown sugar

15g desiccated coconut

45g mixed dried fruit - apple, apricot, sultanas

1 tbsp chopped nuts

30g wheat flakes

30g bran granules

Method :
  1. Combine oatmeal and sugar.
  2. Spread out on a baking sheet.
  3. Place under a medium grill.
  4. Grill the oatmeal mixture, stirring frequently, until lightly browned.
  5. Add coconut, stir, and continue grilling until mixture is an even golden color.
  6. Remove muesli from the grill.
  7. Leave to cool.
  8. Add remaining ingredients.
  9. Serve with milk or low fat natural yoghurt.
  10. Use stewed or chopped fresh fruit as a topping.

Makes 280g
