Muesli Meal Recipes

Ingredients :

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup bran

1 cup wheat germ

1 cup coconut

1 cup muscovado sugar or raw sugar or honey

1/2 cup sunflower meal

1/2 cup sesame seed

1/2 cup safflower oil

1/2 cup water

2 tbsp milk powder, heaped

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 cup sultanas or raisins

Method :
  1. Many variations of this marvelous meal abound and are passed from one health food lover to another.
  2. Put all but the fruit in a large bowl and use hands to incorporate all the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Place in a roasting pan and bake at moderate oven temperature for 30 minutes.
  4. Soak the fruit for a few minutes and add to the meal at the end of the roasting period.
  5. Allow to cool and then store in an airtight jar.
  6. Use as a breakfast meal, as a topping for ice cream or fruit, or as a TV nibble.
