cooked beans, drained (pinto, white beans, or any other bean you prefer)
hot dogs, cooked according to package directions and sliced into 1/4"
light molasses (or pure maple syrup)
vinegar (brown rice, balsamic, or red wine vinegar)
drops liquid hickory smoke, optional
all the ingredients in a 4 1/2 quart saucepan or Dutch oven. Place
over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.
this dish because it's fun to eat and tastes terrific. Adults love it
because it's a quick, nutritious, last minute entrée. Serve it with
whole grain rolls or biscuits and coleslaw.
