potatoes, baked until almost cooked, then cooled

Method :
Preheat the oven to 190oC/375oF/Gas 5.
Slice the potatoes lengthways about 1 cm or 1/2 thick and brush
one side with oil.
Arrange on baking sheets.
Mix the rest of the oil with the garlic and seasoning.
Brush over the tops of the potatoes.
Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the potatoes and bake for about
15 - 20 minutes, or until the cheese topping is golden and bubbling.
Serves 4
If you prefer, these potato slices can be cooked under a hot grill,
or on a barbecue for 7 - 10 minutes. Potato slices are ideal for a quick
kid's snack, or a main meal accompaniment.
