Golden Corn Soup Recipes

Ingredients :

2 onions

1 liter water

1 cup lentils

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp saffron or turmeric

2 tsp salt

500g tin whole kernel corn

chives

Method :
  1. Finely chop onions and put to one side while water heats to boiling.
  2. Drift the lentils into the boiling water trying to keep it on the boil.
  3. Add the onion.
  4. Pre mix the cumin, saffron the salt with a little water and pour into the soup.
  5. Simmer until the onions are soft, then whisk the soup with a metal whisk until the lentils are dissolved.
  6. Drain the can of corn and tip the kernels into the soup.
  7. This lovely golden soup is now ready to serve as a light luncheon, a dinner accompaniment, a cold night comforter or a bedtime snack.
