spring onions, trimmed, washed, coarsely chopped
125 g firm
blue cheese (such as Danish), cut into tiny dice or coarsely chopped
unpeeled courgettes, topped adn tailed, washed, dried, very thinly
blanched almonds, skinned, lightly toasted, chopped
clove, peeled and crushed (optional)
French dressing flavored wit Worcester sauce
- Tear lettuce into pieces and put
into mixing bowl.
- Add onions, cheese, courgettes, 50
g almonds and garlic if used.
- Add dressing.
- Toss thoroughly.
- Sprinkle with remaining nuts and
serve as suggested.
Uncooked and unpeeled courgettes,
tossed with blue cheese and nuts, make an original salad to serve with
meat and fish dishes.
