Finely grind nuts in food
processor or blender goblet. Tip into a bowl and toss in
crumbs, onion, lemon peel, parsley and salt. Bind together with milk, egg and
Worcester sauce, stirring with a fork. With damp hands, shape into a 2"
(5 cm) high loaf. Stand on baking tray lined with
greased foil. Bake 3/4 hour in oven 350F, Gas 4.
If mixture is on the dry side, add a
little more milk. If too wet, stir in extra crumbs. Hot with gravy and
vegetables or cold with salad, the loaf is appealing anyway it's served
and leftovers make a tempting, munchies sandwich filling with lettuce and
cucumber.
