Baked Tomatoes with Garlic Recipes
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/2 bunch flat-leaf parsley, stems
discarded, leaves chopped
20 basil leaves, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tsp fine sea salt (optional)
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tsp sugar
8 tomatoes, tops cut off, seeds and juice
oven to 325 degrees.
Mix the bread
crumbs, parsley, basil, garlic, optional salt, pepper, and sugar. Stuff
the tomatoes with this mixture.
45-50 minutes, until the tomatoes are soft and the tops are golden
The tomatoes seem to "ripen" in the oven,
their natural flavors combining deliciously with the basil and garlic.
