Pineapple Glazed Carrots Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

1 tbsp

1/3 cup

1/8 tsp

1 cup

1 pound

4 tbsp

cornstarch

packed brown sugar

ground nutmeg

pineapple juice

carrots, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch diagonal slices

butter, cut into pieces

Method :
  1. Shake the cornstarch, brown sugar and nutmeg in a 10-by-16-inch cooking bag, then set this in a 12-by-8-by-2-inch microwavable casserole.
  2. Add the pineapple juice and squeeze the bag gently to distribute the ingredients.
  3. Add the carrots and the butter pieces.
  4. Seal the bag securely and cut 61/2 inch slits in the top.
  5. Microwave on high 100% for 20-22 minutes, until the carrots are tender.
  6. Rotate the casserole several times during cooking.
  7. Stir and serve.

Serves 6

Note :

Sugar and spice and all that's nice make these carrots tasty - and cooking them in a microwavable bag is both handy and convenient.
