Finnish Hasselback Potatoes Recipes

Ingredients :

potatoes, peeled

salt

butter or margarine

grated Parmesan cheese

breadcrumbs

Method :
  1. Cut potatoes into thin slices but not quite through to the lower edge, so that the slices hold together.
  2. Place potatoes, with slices up, into a well buttered casserole dish.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and dot with butter.
  4. Bake in a very hot oven 220C (450F) for 20 minutes, basting occasionally with the melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for another 25 minutes without basting.
  7. Serve with a roast for a change.
