Heat oven to
400F (205C). Butter a shallow baking dish about 10 x 6 x 2 inches (25 x
15 x 5cm). Scrape or peel carrots and cut into sticks about 2 inches
long (3.75cm). Put in baking dish. Sprinkle with sugar, salt, pepper and
dill. Dot with butter or margarine. Cover (use foil if pan has no
cover). Bake about 30 minutes or until carrots are tender.
