Damson Jam Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

4 lb sugar

6 fl oz vinegar

6 fl oz water

4 lb ripe damsons

Method :
  1. Put the sugar, vinegar and water into a preserving pan.
  2. Bring to the boil and boil until syrupy.
  3. Add the fruit and boil for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the stones and pot into jars and cover with vinegar-proof lids.
