Mixed Baked Beans Recipes

Ingredients :

14 oz can red kidney beans

14 oz can haricot beans

14 oz can adzuki (aduki) beans

8 fl oz passata

1 tbsp molasses

1/2 tbsp wholegrain mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

pinch of ground cloves

1/2 tsp salt

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 carrots, diced

2 celery sticks, chopped

2 bay leaves

4 tbsp chopped parsley

grated cheddar cheese, to garnish (optional)

Method :
  1. Drain the liquid from the beans and pour half into a bowl.

  2. Whisk the passata, molasses, mustard, Worcestershire or soy sauce, cloves and salt in the liquid until evenly combined.

  3. Put the beans and remaining ingredients except parsley in a casserole dish and stir in the liquid.

  4. Cover with a tight-fitting lid.

  5. Place in a oven, 350F, gas mark 4, 120 minutes.

  6. Stir the parsley, sprinkle with cheddar (if preferred).

  7. Ready to serve.
