Herbed Green Beans Recipes

Ingredients :

butter or margarine

chopped fresh parsley

chopped chives

chipped fresh basil

green beans, trimmed

small onion, peeled and chopped

clove garlic, chopped

sunflower seeds, to serve

freshly ground black pepper, to taste

fresh chives, to garnish

Method :
  1. Combine butter with parsley, chives, marjoram and basil.
  2. Set aside, place the beans in a saucepan with the onion and garlic.
  3. Cover with boiling water.
  4. Cook until tender, drain well.
  5. Add herb butter to the pan with beans, swirling around briefly until beans are well coated.
  6. Season to taste.
  7. Add sunflower seeds just before serving.
  8. Tie beans into bundles with chives if like before serving.
