Braised Broad Beans Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

broad beans in their pods

oil

onion, peeled and chopped

clove garlic, crushed

water (250ml) mixed with 1 tbsp tomato sauce

chopped fresh dill

freshly ground black pepper, to taste

pinch nutmeg

Method :
  1. Shell beans.
  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan.
  3. Add the beans, onion and garlic.
  4. Cook over moderate heat, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil.
  6. Cover the pan, cook for 35 minutes, adding more water if necessary.
