Beans Parisienne Recipes

Ingredients :

3 tbsp blanched almonds, slivered

200g fresh French beans

2 tsp lemon juice

1/2 clove garlic, crushed

pinch of ground black pepper

Method :
  1. Dry fry almonds in a small frying pan over medium heat until golden brown.
  2. Top and tail the beans.
  3. Add a little water to a large saucepan and bring to a rapid boil.
  4. Add the beans and cover saucepan.
  5. Return to the boil and cook for 3-5 minutes until tender but still crisp to bite.
  6. Drain the beans and return to the saucepan.
  7. Reduce heat.
  8. Quickly add almonds, lemon juice, garlic and pepper, toss gently with beans to combine well.
  9. Serve immediately.
