Roasted Onions with Balsamic Vinegar Recipes

Ingredients :

6 large red onions

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chopped thyme

1 tbsp chopped rosemary

2 garlic cloves, crushed

1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed

4 tbsp balsamic vinegar

4 tbsp red wine

1 tbsp clear honey

salt and pepper

Method :
  1. Cut the onions into 8 from the stalk to the root without cutting all the way through and press open.
  2. Combine the oil, herbs, garlic, coriander seeds and seasoning.
  3. Drizzle over the onions, place in oven 425F, gas mark 7, 30 minutes.
  4. Mix vinegar, wine, honey together, pour a little over each onion and bake for 25-30 minutes until the onions become tender.
  5. Ready to serve with glazed juices.
