Steamed Pumpkin Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :                                                               Sauce :

900 g pumpkin

150 g fresh shrimps (shelled)

113 g mussels (shelled)

113 g scallops

1/2 tbsp grated garlic

12 g mung bean thread

2 sprigs spring onion

1/2 cup stock

1 tsp oil

1 tsp light soy sauce

1 1/2 tsp sugar

1 1/2 salt

1 1/2 tsp sesame oil

pinch of pepper

Method :
  1. Parboil shrimps, mussels and scallops separately for a while.
  2. Wash and drain well.
  3. Wash mung bean thread and soak until soft.
  4. Skin pumpkin and cut into pieces or rings.
  5. Marinate with grated garlic for 15 minutes.
  6. Steam together with mung bean thread in stock over high heat for 25 minutes.
  7. Add mussels, shrimps and scallops.
  8. Steam for another 5 minutes.
  9. Deep fry spring onion in warm oil.
  10. Add sauce and liquid from steaming pumpkin.
  11. Bring to the boil.
  12. Pour over pumpkin.
  13. Serve.
