Steamed Butter Gourds Stuffed With Grated Lotus Root Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :                                                               Seasoning :

375 g lotus root

57 g ham

3 dried black mushrooms

450 g bitter gourd

Sauce :

2 tsp boiling oil with garlic

light soy sauce

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

1 tbsp light soy sauce

pinch of pepper

Method :
  1. Finely chop ham.
  2. Soak mushrooms until soft and finely chop.
  3. Cut bitter gourds into rings and remove seeds.
  4. Scald in diluted salty water.
  5. Rinse and wipe dry.
  6. Peel and grate lotus root into puree.
  7. Mix with ham, mushrooms and seasoning to form filling.
  8. Dab bitter gourds with caltrop starch and stuff with filling.
  9. Steam for 10 minutes.
  10. Drain liquid from steaming butter gourds.
  11. Add sauce.
  12. Serve.
