Cottage Cheese Tawa Masala Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

cottage cheese (paneer), cubed

oil for frying

cumin (jeera) seeds

onions, chopped

ginger paste

garlic paste

green chilies, chopped

coriander powder

red chili powder

white pepper powder

carom (ajwain) seeds

tomatoes, chopped

capsicum, diced

garam masala

black cumin, (shah jeera)

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil in a kadhai (wok) and deep fry the cottage cheese cubes to golden.
  2. Heat oil (3 tbsp) on a tawa (griddle).
  3. Add cumin, allow to splutter.
  4. Add onions, sauté till golden brown.
  5. Add ginger and garlic pastes, green chilies, coriander powder, red chili powder, white pepper powder, salt and carom seeds.
  6. Stir fry on medium heat.
  7. Mix in tomatoes.
  8. Cook till the oil separates.
  9. Mix in the cottage cheese, capsicum, garam masala and black cumin.
  10. Cook for 5 min.
  11. Remove to serving platter, top with slit green chilies (optional), serve hot, accompanied by any Indian bread.
