Cauliflower Seasoned With Ginger Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

cauliflower, cut into small flowerets

oil

onions, finely chopped

ginger paste

garlic paste

turmeric (haldi) powder

red chili powder

white pepper powder

coriander powder

tomatoes, skinned and chopped

garam masala

butter

ginger, julienned

green coriander, chopped

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Wash the cauliflower thoroughly.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Add onions and sauté over medium heat.
  4. Add ginger and garlic pastes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, white pepper, coriander powder and tomatoes and sauté for 45 - 60 seconds.
  5. Add the cauliflower, stir in water (100ml).
  6. Cover and cook for 15 minutes till the liquid dries up.
  7. Season with salt and garam masala.
  8. In a separate pan, heat the butter.
  9. Add the julienned ginger and lightly sauté.
  10. Sprinkle the sauté ginger over the cauliflower.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot, accompanied by Chappati or Parantha.

Serves 4 - 5

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Cooking time : 25 minutes
