Bhendi Bhaji Recipes

Ingredients :

250 g

1/2 tsp


ladies fingers

vegetable oil

panch phora

turmeric powder

chili powder

garam masala

medium sized red onion, chopped

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Wash the ladies' fingers, remove the stalks and slice into bite sized pieces.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil to a moderate temperature and fry the panch phora for a minute.
  3. Add the onion and continue to fry until the onion turns golden.
  4. Put in the turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala and salt.
  5. Add the ladies' fingers, stir well, cover and cook until it is soft but not mushy.
  6. Serve as a vegetable accompaniment to rice or chapatis.
