When it comes down to simple stir fry dishes,
nationalities are only distinguished by the oil they use: for
example olive for Italian style, peanut for Chinese cuisine.
Break up the broccoli into florets and remove
excess stem.
In a steamer, cook the broccoli until just
tender.
In a separate pan, heat the oil and fry the
garlic; do not burn it.
Add sugar at this stage if you are cooking
Chinese style.
Stir broccoli into the pan and turn until it is
hot and coated with the oil and garlic.
