Method :
- Stir the breadcrumbs and wheat
germ together.
- Chop the onion and mushrooms
finely.
- Cook them in the butter over low
heat until soft and golden.
- Add to the breadcrumbs.
- Stir in the herbs, lemon juice,
egg yolk, nutmeg, salt, pepper and enough water to make a light
crumbly stuffing.
- Use as required.
Note :
A tasty stuffing which may be used for
poultry or fish, or for filling potatoes, peppers or rolled cabbage
leaves.
