Stir together the flour, baking
powder, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
Beat together the egg, milk and
oil and work into the dry ingredients, beating lightly until just
mixed.
Stir in the raisins.
Fry in deep hot oil until golden.
Drain well and serve at once.
Note :
A quickly made treat for breakfast or
teatime, or to use as an emergency sweet course. Sprinkle with cinnamon
flavored caster or icing sugar, or serve with maple syrup.
