Method :
- Preheat oven to 160C/325F/Gas 3.
- Grease and base line a 7" square
cake tin.
- Mix together the oats, sugar,
dates, raisins and nuts.
- Melt the treacle and margarine and
pour into the dry mixture.
- Mix well and press into the
prepared tin.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Cool in tin for 5 minutes and mark
into fingers or squares.
- Finish cooling in the tin and cut
into pieces before removing.
Note :
Fruit packed bars which give plenty of
energy and are ideal for picnics or lunch boxes.
