Method :
- Cook the cornmeal in the water with a pinch of salt, watching carefully that it does not dry out.
- Stir frequently until it is thick and the cornmeal is tender.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients in order and spoon the mixture into a jelly mould lightly greased with butter.
- Turn out onto a plate for serving, decorate if liked with glace cherries and serve with vanilla custard or ice cream.
